Legal Services: The Child Support Unit

childrenThe Child Support Unit in Nassau provides legal representation to custodial parents, who are not in receipt of public assistance, in child support matters and in establishing paternity. In order to receive legal services the parent must file the child support petition in Family Court or at the Child Support Enforcement Bureau (CSEB). The custodial parent must also request an application for Nassau Suffolk Law Services and must be willing to have their support order run through CSEB.

This unit is funded by Nassau County.
