In 2014, she was recognized as a Women in the Courts Honoree in Suffolk County for her commitment to promoting pro bono services, and in 2015 she was honored as the Public Interest Attorney of the Year from Touro Law School.

Douglas Ruff is the Director of Litigation at NSLS and supervises the Public Benefits Units in both counties. In his forty-plus years, he has developed a special expertise in the area of public benefits and the rights of the homeless. He has handled over 50 reported Appellate Division decisions and has represented hundreds of clients at administrative fair hearings.
