Technology Enhances the Application Process for  Veterans

VA Centers and the Social Security Administration have teamed up on a new database. It will enable processing of Social Security Disability benefits for veterans and their dependents through Health IT capability using existing information systems.  The system shares health information securely through the eHealth Exchange, thereby speeding up the application stage.
